CRAZY EXPERIENCE at Penang Hill | Malaysia Travel Vlog

Penang, Malaysia has some truly amazing sights and eats and in this video we show you some of it!

George Town, Penang is the unofficial food central of Malaysia, with many of the foods it's famous for having originated here. We started with one of the most famous and one that can be seen all over the city: Nasi Kandar. Nasi kandar gets clear influence from a few places and is one of the many examples of how this city is a thriving melting pot. Nasi - meaning rice - kandar is a wonderful dish that contains a generous portion of rice as a base with a variety of ingredients topping it including, in our case, chicken, pickled cabbage, other vegetables, and multiple mixed curries. The massive portion it came in was difficult to finish but was amazing and had us wanting more later!

After stuffing ourselves, we headed to Penang Hill. This hill boasts some incredible views of the city and lots of nature viewing among other attractions. It can be reached by hiking or by taking a funicular - we chose the former which turned out to be a great idea! On the hike up, we got our first monkey sighting which was equally fascinating and scary! For example, we were walking up the path and noticed lots of litter, which we thought was sad. Soon after, Marshall had a monkey chase him down for an empty mango smoothie! While running away, he dropped the cup which the monkey took and then proceeded to leave us alone. We knew then the reason for the abundance of cups!

Getting to the top proved to be a very sweaty adventure but had some incredible sights and left us with some good stories. We hope you enjoy this video and join us again for the next video which shares our time at the top of Penang Hill and at the Farlim Wednesday Night Market!
