Crossing the border between Washington and Idaho is the Pend Oreille Valley Railroad, or better known as the POVA Railroad. This railroad switches industries along the way to Sandpoint, ID from Newport, WA along the old Great Northern Railway line from Hillyard in Spokane. I should mention this was the quickest railroad operations team I have ever seen in my life, and also the nicest.
