Property Taxes in Pakistan 2025 | Complete Guide for Buyers & Sellers
In this video, we explain in detail all the taxes applicable on buying and selling property in Pakistan for the fiscal year 2025–26 (July 2025 to June 2026).
We cover:
• Stamp Duty & Registration Fee – around 1% in Punjab (varies by province)
• Capital Value Tax (CVT) – usually 2% on fair market/DC value
• Advance Tax (Section 236K) – on buyers (filer 1.5% onwards)
• Advance Tax (Section 236C) – on sellers (filer 4.5% onwards)
• Capital Gains Tax (CGT) – filer 15% flat (from July 1, 2024), with reductions for holding property longer
• Example calculation for a property worth PKR 10 million
