Poetry Frame Classroom Demo | "Yes, Of Course" Poem!

Is writing poetry daunting for your students? Poetry frames might be the game-changer you’ve been looking for!

In this demo, we walk through how to use the "Yes, of Course" poetry frame to build student confidence and creativity through a gradual release process:
1️⃣ Start with half of the poem pre-written, and leave blanks for students to help complete
2️⃣ Read the poem together and model how to fill in the blanks using Input Charts around the room
3️⃣ Scaffold spelling and writing based on your students’ grade level
4️⃣ Read the new class-created poem together!
5️⃣ Release responsibility—have students complete poetry frames in teams, then independently
