Peacock Bass and Wolf fish habitat! Cichla and Hoplias in nature. This pool behind a rapid in the Colombian Orinoco lowland is home to a number of large fish. Check out this amazing habitat, home to all 3 species of Orinoco peacock bass (Cichla temensis, Cichla orinocensis and Cichla intermedia), wolf fish (Hoplias curupira), piranhas (Serrasalmus rhombeus and Pristobrycon careospinus), flagtails (Semaprochilodus kneri), Brycon falcatus, three species of Leporinus (Leporinus brunneus, Leporinus altipinnis, and Leporinus nigrotaeniatus) and a huge number of other fish. The video shows the amazing interrelationship and distribution of the large fish in the pool behind the rapid.
