I took the 4x4 self-built MAN TGE camper van out into the Lake District for a proper wild camping trip and the weather didn’t hold back. With heavy rain rolling in, I found an incredible remote spot to set up for the night. Despite the downpour, I managed to get a fire going and cooked a hearty curry in my tagine under the shelter of the van. There’s something about the sound of rain hitting the roof while cooking outdoors that just hits different.

The next morning, after a peaceful night in the van surrounded by nature, I hiked out to a hidden gem, a natural infinity pool tucked away in the hills. Totally off the beaten path, it was the perfect place for a refreshing dip to round off the trip.
