A documentary entitled "The AAF Comes of Age" (part 1), which covers the ways in which the USA air forces were some way behind in1939, in terms of meeting the threats posed by the formation of axis powers, and how by 1945 the AAF was a fighting force to be reckoned with, and one without which the allies may not have won WWII.
This was released in August 1945 and contains a remarkable amount of battle footage, and shows the aftermath of attacks. A sobering account put together by one of those that took part.
It was written and produced by Lee (Leonard) Korf (1917-2008) on the instructions of General Arnold in 1945. Lee Korf does not have many film credits to his name, but was a navigator on B17s and had a remarkable career. More about Lee Korf can be found here: https://theatre.fullcoll.edu/conn_fac...
