Grieving After My Abortion

She didn’t want an abortion — but at the time, she felt like she had no choice. The weight of shame of an unexpected pregnancy pressed harder than the thought of motherhood.

"I want to talk about the support I received after 11 years of keeping my abortion a secret. At the time, I thought abortion was my only option. For a long time, I didn’t know how to deal with it, but when I found help, that’s when layers started to come off."
