Over a 3-day period, I built a NotebookLM clone that is fully customizable, extendable, and self-hosted — all without writing a single line of code.

NotebookLM is arguably one of the best RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) apps out there today — but it’s a closed system, with no way to self-host or adapt it to your specific business needs.
So I built my own version.

Using Loveable.dev for the frontend, and Supabase + n8n for the backend, I recreated the core functionality of NotebookLM … And the best part? You can sell this.

Why? Because AI systems grounded in a company’s own data are probably the biggest commercial use case for generative AI right now. That’s exactly what RAG is — and this clone is effectively a fully working RAG frontend.
