At the turning of the year, the Solstice invites us all—north and south, in winter’s stillness or summer’s fullness—to pause and listen for the quiet movement of light. In this contemplative gathering, composer and pianist Euan Fulton leads us through a sequence of music, readings, and prayer that honors the rhythms of darkness and dawn, rest and renewal, wherever we find ourselves in the world.
For those in the Northern Hemisphere, the solstice marks the deepest night and the first returning glimmer of the sun; for those in the South, it is the height of brightness and abundance. Together we hold both—recognizing that light and shadow coexist within and around us, each essential to the cycle of becoming.
