The idea of life after death is as old as humanity itself and the ghosts that come with it are an essential part of civilization. I’m sure that if you’re here watching this, you probably already have of inkling of the history of the Haunted Mansion. However, what no one really speaks about is the history that inspired it. Where does the ghost story come from and how has it manifested into the attraction that we know today? The goal here is to explore not just the history of development behind this classic Disney attraction, but also to provide an overview of the culture and stories that you can find woven throughout. It’s one thing to appreciate an attraction that is really well designed.
