What a game! Best vs Best — but Gujarat Titans had the edge today, purely because of better planning and top-notch execution.
As someone who’s been in such situations, I’ve got to say — the way Shubman Gill captained today was impressive. His field placements against a dangerous Suryakumar Yadav, who looked in sublime touch early on, showed real maturity. Later, even Hardik Pandya was tactically neutralized.
Speaking of Hardik — maybe it's time to reflect. Could he have bowled the final over himself instead of giving it to Deepak Chahar, who isn’t really a death-over specialist? Yes, Hardik was expensive earlier, but the batters at the crease (Tewatia and Coetzee) were new, and a seasoned bowler could have made the difference.
