In his new book, How to Score in Hollywood, former child actor Kevin Goetz shares secrets to success in the movie industry and how they can be applied in a small business.
Goetz, who appeared in several TV shows and movies during his early career, currently owns the content testing and focus group organizing firm Screen Engine/ASI. He says much of the secret to success in Hollywood comes down to listening to your audience. He says that, as exciting as it may be to create art, the industry is a business, and to make money, you have to listen to the customer. “It’s not show art, it’s show business.”
