ABOUT THE SONG / DUET
“Tumbleweed” is a live duet born from Michele Stodart and David Ford’s lockdown writing partnership — a hush-then-swell conversation between two distinctive voices. Often a highlight of their joint sets, the song pairs gentle, melodic guitars with close-knit harmonies (and, in some performances, evocative pedal steel), spotlighting the chemistry that has made their collaborations so moving on stage. Though they wrote a full album together that’s yet to see a formal release, “Tumbleweed” already feels timeless in the room: intimate, reflective, and quietly devastating.
