Well, talk about a team effort!

I'm eternally indebted to Sam Popkin and Perry Stanley for making this cover exceed my wildest expectations. Sam's brilliant sitar playing and Perry's note-perfect Framus playing elevated this to an entirely new level.

And what a magical song! I don't think even John knew the mood he was setting when he wrote this; frankly, the outtake from Anthology 2 totally lacks the energy and spirit of the album version. Maybe a capo is all ya need (besides love).

Also yes, I decided to play the Hofner. I don't think sonically it makes too much of a difference. And it was time to bring back the Hofner!
