Dwarf Green Markets vs. Green Markets: Evaluating their Role in Sustainable Economic Transitions
Layman Abstract:
This paper looks at how we can move from polluting, traditional economies to cleaner, environmentally friendly ones. Two types of markets are discussed: green markets and dwarf green markets. Both aim to reduce pollution, but they do so in different ways.
Green markets are shown to be helpful for the long-term goal of creating a clean economy. They reduce pollution gradually and offer a profitable path for businesses to follow, eventually leading to markets that are fully environmentally clean.
On the other hand, dwarf green markets only offer small, temporary improvements. They still allow some pollution to continue, which means they don’t support a full transition to a clean economy. In fact, relying on dwarf green markets can cause long-term failure in solving environmental problems.
In short, green markets are the better choice if we want a cleaner future. This understanding is important for making smart policies that truly help the environment.
