The Puerta del Sol is a public square in Madrid, one of the best known and busiest places in the city. It's famous for being the symbolic center of Spain, marked by the "Kilometro Cero" (Kilometer Zero) plaque, from which all Spanish radial roads are measured. The square is also known for its iconic clock tower, whose bells signal the traditional eating of the twelve grapes on New Year's Eve, and the statue of the bear and strawberry tree, a symbol of Madrid.
