Description:
This route takes us from the village of Coniston up to the wild swimming pools at the coppermines. We take the track behind The Sun Inn in Coniston up and follow this as it skirts the wood to our right. At the waterfall we cross the bridge and continue up on a wider track passing some of the Coppermine Cottages on our right and continue up to more buildings crossing another small bridge we reach our run of plunge pools and waterfalls for ideal for wild swimming on a not day.

With nearby Wainwrights of Wetherlam, Brim Fell, Swirl How and The Old Man of Coniston this can be integrated into a Wainwright bagging walk very easily as part of this walk    • OLD MAN OF CONISTON with Wetherlam | Swirl...
