Today’s vlog came a little late, but the day was full of activity at our mini zoo!
We started by checking on our sick turkey resting inside the brooder. Then we uncovered all the bird cages and checked everyone’s food and water. Since the morning was cold, the rabbits stayed inside until the sun came out.

Once Sahil arrived, all the pets enjoyed some sunshine. Baby rabbits were let out for a while, chicks and hen were moved for safety due to the ongoing construction, and the budgies were busy eating while silkie and guinea fowl kept trying to steal their food.

We made a funny moment with a round stone pretending it was a new ‘bater egg’. Later, a neighbourhood kid visited the mini zoo, fed fish, saw the baby budgies, and even helped place the baby rabbits back in their box.

Fresh carrot and green kadam leaves were served to everyone. Budgies enjoyed their soaked soft food, and the sick turkey got warm soaked feed. In the evening, we bought new seeds from the market.

And the highlight — our baby budgie peeked out of the nest hole for the first time, looking exactly like its yellow mother!
We ended the day by feeding everyone their night meal and closing their boxes safely.
