Phantom Of The Common - Chapter 2

The Sparrowhawk story continues. This time, I return to the Common to observe the elusive female, her quiet composure, and her unwavering wait for her mate. With the courtship phase drawing to a close, now the nesting phase begins, this is the last capture of a beloved Rufous-Breasted Sparrowhawk, before motherhood becomes her narrative.

Through stealth and patience, she blends with the canopy, hidden from almost everyone but me and my photographer friend. With cinematic footage, narration, and raw observations, I document her stillness, her expectations, and the mystery of whether the male will return while I’m there.
This chapter captures the beauty of presence, the uncertainty of wildlife encounters, and the patience it takes to document fleeting moments in nature.
