This week on the STL Donut Tour, we visit the Schnucks Bakery at Arsenal Street in St. Louis to try their classic donuts, fritters, bear claws, fried croissants, and the legendary Red Hot Riplets Long John. Schnucks is known citywide for affordable, reliable pastries that many locals prefer over “fancy” donut shops.

Good morning St. Louis! Today I’m heading out to Schnucks Bakery, the local grocery chain, to showcase the donuts many people in the city swear by, when refusing to go to a “fancy” donut shop. Schnuck’s Bakeries have long provided over 200 varieties of delicious baked goods from breads, pies, and cakes, to donuts, danish, bear claws, and fried glazed croissants to stores all around St. Louis and the surrounding areas. They make a large variety of breakfast pastries and today I’m going to show you some of my favorites and try a couple new ones I’ve never had. From fritters & bear claws, to croissants and that legendary Red Hot Riplets Long John, Schnuck’s really brings their A-game when it comes to variety and flavor.
