Day in the Life of an Addict: Her Story Will Make You Cry

In this powerful episode of Heart of the City, we follow four individuals whose lives have been forever changed by addiction each fighting their own battle to survive another day in the streets of Baltimore.

LeLe — A young Asian girl who came from Howard County to Baltimore with a friend, only to be introduced to drugs and pulled into a life she never imagined. Every day is a fight to stay sane after everything she’s seen on the streets.

Ashley — Once clean, her sobriety was cut short when her boyfriend tempted her back into using. The relapse cost her everything her home, her stability, and her kids. Now she’s praying for strength to get clean again and reunite with her children.

Jennifer — Raised around addiction, she lost her mother to it the same lifestyle that took hold of her. She’s working to rebuild her life and get her kids back while grieving the friends she’s lost to overdoses.

Marcus — A former NSA employee with a bachelor’s in computer science, now homeless and battling addiction. He lost his wife, his job, and his home, but still holds onto hope that he can find his way back.
