I have bought way too many NE555 timer chips online so I guess I have to find a use for them - other than blowing them up, as happened with one unfortunate specimen during the experimentation phase of this project.
My idea is to make a synthesizer-ish instrument that uses only NE555 as the active components and in this the first part I make the tone generator or oscillator.
The music is something I made 21 years ago and which I found on an old analog tape in my archive. As far as I can hear I used my Yamaha HE-8 organ, Roland JX-8P synthesizer, and Roland CR-1000 drum machine.
