Recovering from an accident can be an emotional and difficult time for the victim and the family. The nurses and physical therapists in the rehabilitation unit work with the patients as well as the families to bring them back to where they were before the accident. Families are welcome in the unit to participate and provide support for their loved ones. Therapists work one-on-one with patients, and continue working with the same patient during the duration of their recovery, to help build a bond and connection with the patient. The therapists work strategically to plan and treat patients and the whole extended family to help heal, recover and return the body back to normal.
