How to add ruffles to a shirt

In this video I will show you how to make ruffles and add them to an existing shirt.

Supplies you will need:
shirt
fabric you would like to use (I'm using a soft knit fabric)
scissors
thread ripper
matching thread
ruler
sewing machine

Length of fabric is measured by placing it against the shirt sleeve lining and going around meeting back up at the seam and then add 10 inches to that. The width is 4.5 inches. Before sewing, fold the edge of the fabric in 1/8 of an inch and iron, then fold that section that you ironed, over once more about 1/4 of an inch and iron flat. This gives you a crease line that comes in handy when finishing the hemline line.

When sewing the basting stitches, machine stitch setting should be set to farthest thread length. On my machine (Brother CE1125PRW) it is a 5
