This is a really special locomotive you rarely find. The metal it is cast from is falling apart due to poor metal alloys. The gears where broken and the wheels have also cracks. I repaired this locomotive for a friend of mine, and he told me almost all Dorfan loco,s suffer from the same metal problem. That,s why they are so rare these days. For now it stays in one piece. I impregnated some cracked parts with water thin cyano glue. I did this for the first time many years ago with a LR micheline. Also infamous for its poor castings. And for all these years it stays together and it is not getting worse. So fingers crossed on this Dorfan!
