The Prayer of St. Patrick, often called St. Patrick’s Breastplate, has always felt less like words on a page and more like a declaration of faith meant to be lived out loud.

When we arranged this as Faithful Believer, we didn’t approach it as a traditional Gregorian Chant. Instead, we felt called to shape it as a worship anthem, something the Church could sing together. This prayer binds the believer to Christ in every direction, and we wanted the music to reflect that same bold, communal trust.

At its heart, this prayer proclaims a simple and powerful truth:
Christ is our Shield.

This arrangement was written to be lifted during worship, hands raised, voices joined, hearts aligned. An anthem of faith, not for performance alone, but for participation. As the words declare “Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,” we are reminded that faith surrounds us, carries us, and sustains us.

Our hope is that this song strengthens your confidence in Christ’s presence and invites you to worship alongside us — not as listeners, but as believers.
