Hope everyone enjoyed the video! Here is a quick description on each ranking:
#10 - The Flyers were down 3-0 in the series. They come back to force game 7 where they find themselves down 3-0 early. They battle back to tie and then eventually lead with 7 minutes left in the 3rd period. A remarkable series come back and game 7 come back. However there is nothing like game 7 overtime, and I believe there were more intense moments in the games ahead.
#9 - The Kings and Blackhawks were quickly becoming an emerging rivalry. A wild game with some big saves, a tie breaking goal from Kane with 3 minutes left, a tying goal with 8 seconds left from Richards, and an iconic overtime winner to cap off the hat trick for Patrick Kane. The only reason it’s lower is because it was a game 5, the stakes were lower for the Hawks, still an incredible game.
#8 - The Bruins were the NHL’s best ever team, most wins and points ever in a single season. The Panthers barely squeaked into the playoffs off a hot streak late in the season. The Bruins stormed out to a 3-1 series lead, but the Panthers fought back with incredible performances in game 5 and game 6. A tying goal with less than a minute to go from Montour and an improbable game 7 overtime winner from Verhaeghe, instant classic. However, it was only the first round, and there were better games to choose from, incredible story nevertheless.
#7 - Devils Vs Rangers, not much more you could say. A hard fought series took us to game 6. The devils got out to a 2-0 lead with an incredible powerplay goal from Kovalchuk. The Rangers stormed back to tie it quickly in the second. Some big saves from Brodeur sends us to overtime. A fierce rivalry, two goaltending legends, and overtime. 1:03 into overtime Adam Henrique would find a loose puck on a scramble for an instant iconic goal to send the Devils to the Stanley Cup Final. Hard fought game, great rivalry, massive stakes, however there are still better.
#6 - The Golden Knights had a 3-1 lead in the series. The Sharks stormed back to tie the series and force a game 7 at the Shark Tank. Vegas jumped out to a 3-0 lead, and held it well into the third period. However, a major penalty would be called on Cody Eakin for cross checking Joe Pavelski. The Sharks would go onto score 4 straight powerplay goals to take the lead. Some crazy action with less than 4 minutes to go with some big saves by Jones and the post. Marchessault would tie it with 47 seconds to go sending this game 7 to overtime. Barclay Goodrow would end this instant classic in overtime and ending the series. A truly epic game, however it was the first round, that’s the only downfall.
