When Meccano introduced the Series 30 models at the end of 1935, it was the first time they referred to specific real cars for the models in this series : Rolls Royce, Daimler, Vauxhall etc. The bodies cast in the series 24 were fitted with a new chassis (stronger) and a specific grille for each car. The Vauxhall was first fitted with rectangular grille ( absent from my collection) and soon after "modernized" with an oval-shaped grille.
The breakdown truck is an oddity as
it is cast in a scale of approximately 1/75 . Probably to match the 3 cars issued as series 35 in the same year. One can imagine that the purpose was to serve
