We don't often hear about what goes on behind the walls of our prisons. But a series of internal investigations reveals a shocking number of prisoner bashings, officer assaults and attempted suicides at one of Queensland's most overcrowded correctional centres.
Serving officers and former prisoners blame chronic overcrowding and poor management for fuelling violence.
