Episode 7 – Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Let’s Play Description:

Strap in for Episode 7 of our Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Let’s Play! We pick up right where we left off — nestled in Esquie’s cozy little nest — and discover one of the best surprises yet: Esquie is now our noble steed! That’s right, the party finally gains a mount, letting us traverse the larger world map in style (and with a whole lot of Esquie-flavored personality).

Our first major stop? The Hidden Gestral Arena Battles, where we test our team’s mettle against some intense foes. Things are going great... until we hit Dominique Giant Feet, who absolutely stomps us into the ground. We retreat with our heads held high (and our pride slightly bruised), vowing to return and finish what we started.

Next, we venture into the Yellow Harvest — only to realize we’re woefully under-leveled. A quick pivot later, the stream chat rallies behind us with some encouraging words: “You’ve Got This!” So naturally, we take on the world boss. And naturally... we get obliterated.

But persistence pays off! After several tough-as-nails attempts, we finally emerge victorious, worn down but triumphant. It’s one of the most hard-earned wins of the playthrough so far.

We close the episode by starting our journey across the eerie and beautiful Stone Wave Cliffs, where we encounter a mysterious faceless boy who speaks cryptically about his best friend — the Paintress. Just as things start to get really weird, we pause the adventure, promising to return after a short real-life family holiday.
