Safest way to propagate succulent leaves

Many succulents will quite literally propagate themselves, without any input from us. But some leaves need a little bit of TLC to transform into a leafbaby and continue growing to a whole new plant.
I propagate many leaves every year and because i sell my plants, i propagate a wide variety of succulents. To have as much success as possible, i stay on the safe side and try avoid as many things that can go wrong as possible.
