Telecom companies have for now decided to absorb and not pass on the 12% excise charge on data until further notice.
Both MTN and Airtel however affirmed that OTT is from now on removed from access to social media. Experts warn however that seers of data should eventually prepare to bear the cost because it’s a matter of when.
