Ingredients

*Sugar*: ½ to ¾ cup

*Rusk*: 7-8 pieces (crushed or blended with milk)
Instructions
1. *Boil Rice*: Boil soaked rice with 1.5 cups of water until soft and mashy. Blend with rusk to a smooth paste.
2. *Cook Milk Mixture*: In a large pot, combine milk and rice mixture. Cook on low flame for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. *Add Sugar and Condensed Milk*: Add sugar, condensed milk, and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook until the mixture thickens.
4. *Caramelize Sugar (optional)*: Heat sugar in a pan until caramelized and add to the kheer mixture for a rich flavor and color.
5. *Garnish and Serve*: Garnish with chopped nuts, dried fruits, and serve chilled ¹ ².
