Presenting the definitive & comprehensive Geese Howard Parry Guide. This video explores the mechanics/frame data of Geese's special command parries and ways in which you can apply them in a real match. I want to reiterate the point that you should not take anything in this video as gospel--they are just my suggestions based on my own experiences for mitigating pressure and dealing with moves/strings. Especially in the case of plus frame moves, there are so many options/decisions one can take after a frame advantage situation that I can't possibly cover them all (nor would I want to). Incorporate things from this guide that interest you and combine it with your own judgement and play-style to avoid being a gimmicky and flowchart Geese player. Hope you guys learned something =)
Miscellaneous Info regarding Geese's Command Low Parry (Hcb1+4)--:::
There are many times when it's impossible to get a command low parry out in time. For example,
moves like Lili Df+44, Kazumi Db+23, and Nina Uf+43 are all impervious to a command low parry, for those moves you'll have to rely on a good old fashioned generic low parry (since you're basically just ducking and ducking takes 1 frame to startup). However, do keep in mind that it is possible to input Hcb1+4 when you are in forced crouch (although it takes a bit of practice)--this will help against moves like King's alley kicks and Lucky Chloes low windmills.
**I was also meaning to test out Geese's parries against getup 3, getup4, toekicks, kipup, running slides and running cross chops but never got around to it. These situations are impractical anyways so it's not a big deal.
