Where you've seen the MAFS UK 2025 cast before, from Netflix to Marvel
This is where you have seen some of the Married At First Sight UK cast before
Married At First Sight UK always has a few familiar faces in the line-up, but did you recognise them?
It's an open secret that both Divarni Groce Balogun and Julia-Ruth Smith have been in front of the cameras before they decided to tie the knot with a stranger on TV. It'll be unlikely that dating experts have matched them together as a MAFS UK couple, maximising the potential for drama.
From Netflix dramas to reality TV series, here's a reminder of where you may have spotted the bride and groom before.
Divarni Groce Balogun
Divarni Groce Balogun has got some TV experience under his belt as an actor and a stint on reality TV before filming with the MAFS UK cameras.
The actor and dad-of-one, who is a self-confessed ladies' man, has featured in Netflix shows Half Bad, Riches and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
He doesn't just like cuddling up to watch Marvel movies as the 29-year-old made an appearance in the 2023 film The Marvels.
Married At First Sight UK won't be his first reality TV show. Under his stage name Ashley, he starred in Dinner Date where he had to compete for a date with TOWIE star Chloe Brockett in 2021.
The musician, from London, has been single for two years but perhaps his luck is about to change.
Julia-Ruth Smith
Julia-Ruth Smith has a few claims to fame as the bride worked as a backing dancer for rapper 50 Cent.
That's not all, as she has previously looked for love on TV before on a rival MTV/Paramount+ show.
The professional dancer, from New Zealand, starred in the ninth series of the international matchmaking show Are You the One? in 2023. Despite finding her perfect match with Brendan on the show, the couple split shortly after filming ended.

She hasn't given up hope on finding long-lasting love from TV. Two years later, the bride is trying her luck again but this time by marrying a total stranger.
Why cast people who have been on TV before?
MAFS UK isn't the only reality show where bosses cast people who have been on TV before. Big Brother is another example of where we often recognise a few housemates. There are a few reasons TV bosses do this.
Contestants who have a little bit of experience of filming are familiar with the jam-packed schedules and they are used to being in front of cameras. Often those are the contestants who know how to bring drama to the scene!
Of course, viewers love to be able to recognise a familiar face or two too.
In stark contrast, The Traitors and Race Across the World bosses look to cast "ordinary" people you won't recognise or have seen before on TV.
Producer Lucy Curtis from Studio Lambert explained this deliberate decision. She said: "And I think that's the thing with Race Across the World and and lots of other Studio Lambert shows is it's the type of people you might not usually see on television."
Yahoo UK has reached out to Married At First Sight UK representatives.
Married At First Sight UK returns to TV on Sunday, September 21 on E4 at 9pm.
