Halo 2: The Fall of High Charity

Halo 2 is the best sequel of all time, and it’s not because of its amazing story or multiplayer, trust me it does all of that in spades - no I find it’s one of the best sequels of all time because of the scope that it has compared to its predecessor, combat evolved. The locations are bigger, the depth is bigger, the threat is bigger. Everything about Halo 2 is bigger and better than the last and nothing quite captures the scope of that more than Halo 2’s Missions of High Charity - the holy city of the covenant. Up until now, the Covenant has been a never-ending force, your run of the mill Alien Faction but through the eyes of the Arbiter we see this facade begin to crack. By the time we arrive that empire is crumbling from the inside out, the faction enthralled in a Civil War. What becomes of it is one of the most interesting looks into one of the least talked about moments in the lore and a beautiful dualology of Missions right before the games finale.
