On January 12, 2025, the Buffalo Bills secured a decisive 31-7 victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Wild Card round at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
The Broncos initiated the scoring with a 43-yard touchdown pass from rookie quarterback Bo Nix to Troy Franklin early in the first quarter. 
However, the Bills responded with a 26-yard field goal by Tyler Bass, followed by a 5-yard touchdown run from James Cook, who amassed 120 rushing yards in the game. 
In the second half, quarterback Josh Allen connected with Ty Johnson for a 24-yard touchdown and later with Curtis Samuel for a 55-yard score, extending the Bills’ lead. 
Allen completed 20 of 26 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns, adding 46 rushing yards. 
The Bills’ defense effectively contained the Broncos, limiting them to 224 total yards and preventing any scoring after their initial touchdown. 
With this win, the Bills advanced to the AFC Divisional Round, where they are set to host the Baltimore Ravens.
