The Dicing and The Sequel to the Dicing Summary | Part 2

It is the second part of the summaries of The Dicing and The Sequel to the Dicing.
Duryodhana requests his father, King Dhritarashtra to conduct a game of dice in their palace. The king does not approve of him because Vidura does not like the idea. Duryodhana pressurizes his father because he wants to avenge the Pandavas for humiliating him. Another reason is he is jealous of their wealth.
Dhritarashtra sends Vidura to invite Yudhisthira. Yudhisthira comes to Hastinapura with his brothers. He stakes his assets one after another, but he loses them. Shakuni provokes him to stake his brothers, himself, and his wife Draupadi.
After their huge loss, Drapaudi comes to the palace at the behest of Duryodhana. Durhasana humiliates her by taking off her garments, however, she is saved somehow. She objects to their misbehavior and asks a question related to authority. Yudhisthira
is silent. Some people like Vidura and Vikarna suggest that her question should be addressed. At last, the king bestows on her two boons. Through her two boons, Drapaudi saves them and they return to Indraprastha.
