The Phalanx 20mm Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) is a defensive anti-missile and anti-air system that can fire up to 4.500 rounds per minute. The Phalanx can also be used against surface targets like small combatant ships.
In these short clips we see the Phalanx system on board several US warships firing during several exercises at sea at both air and surface targets.
