In our last episode to the creation of political parties in Uganda we look at a year to independence between 1961 to 1962; what happened?
The need for an alliance between the two political parties at the time was crucial Uganda Peoples’ Congress and Kabaka Yeka because the route to capture political power was through elections and elections were won but four years later the alliance turned out a mare marriage of convenience and the outcome was bitter calling for the 1966 crisis.
