Changes I made to the Piper pattern to create shorts:
Shortened the inseam length to be 3''.
Tapered in the shape of the inside leg by 0.5cm (1/4'') on front and back.
Added 5cm on to the bottom of the shorts for a final hem of 4cm. Explanation on how to true the hem in the video.
Shortened the bottom of the pocket bag by 2cm (3/4'').
Added a 'fake fly' by adding 4cm on to the centre front of the shorts, tapered this in at the centre front notch.
Added a notch where the 'fake fly' would fold back to, 1cm in from the original centre front.
