Made of four separate tasks (Learning/ improving a skill, volunteer work, fitness/ sport and the expedition) the D of E award comes in three increasing stages, Bronze, Silver and Gold, each increasing in duration and difficulty.
The award is an internationally recognised achievement for young people designed to provide experiences for young people you may not be able to get elsewhere, helping to make a more well rounded and experienced person.
This video features 25 Parkwood's Silver team completing their Silver expedition in the South Downs of England.
