My haven, Nina Hossain: The ITN newsreader, 43, in

family in Nottinghamshire.1 IN THE STUDIO WITH DURANWe bought this house a decade ago and the kitchen is the heart of our home, full of bits and pieces we’ve accumulated – like this framed Duran Duran CD. I’ve been a fan since I saw them live when I was nine, and one day they came to the BBC to be interviewed. Simon Le Bon asked where I was because he’d seen me reading the news, but I’d just moved to ITN. Years later he emailed me out of the blue to ask if I’d record a news report to be used for a song on this album, All You Need Is Now. Sharing a studio with him was one of the most surreal experiences of my life.
