Akai MPC 2500 LE or SE _ How to Replace the Pad Sensor.
You Need Screwdriver, sufficient light and time. UNPLUG POWER!
Start by locating and removing all screws associated with taking off your Faceplate and Casing. Remove Faceplate, Casing and Drum Pads. Locate and release the white wire connector on the left Q Link PCB Board. Locate and remove 6 black screws on Pad Sensor Holder Bracket. Pull and flip the Pad Sensor Holder Bracket on its back side. Locate and remove the 2 black screws on the Pad Sensor PCB Board. Release the Pad Sensor from the black connector then pull the Pad Sensor clean off of the PSH Bracket. Size up and replace the new Pad Sensor in exactly the exact same place. Reattach the Pad Sensor to the black connector and work backwards in order to put your MPC back together. Finally Test it out.
