Lucknow Public College Gomti Nagar Branch organised a KIDS OLYMPICS on 7th February 2025 for tiny-tots from Pre-Nursery to Class 2, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their athletic skills and sportsmanship at even such a young age.
The event commenced with a grand and vibrant opening ceremony, graced by the presence of Guest of Honour- Dr. Malvika Bajpai, a renowned International Yoga Coach and Chief editor of Yogasana Book of World Record Council, along with elite dignitaries- Director Academics & Innovation, Mrs. Neha Singh Director Lucknow Public College Of Professional Studies-LPCPS Mrs. #Garima_Singh, Principal Lucknow Public School Barabanki Branch, Dr. #Ritu_Singh and Chief Inspector, Mr. #Sanjay_Pratap_Singh.
The Guest of Honour was escorted by NCC cadets in a dignified procession. To promote environmental consciousness, all the guests were warmly welcomed with the presentation of a sapling, symbolizing growth and prosperity. The college flag was then hoisted with pride, instilling a sense of unity and school spirit among participants and spectators. The Principal Mrs. Anita Choudhary officially welcomed all the dignitaries and parents and also introduced the gathering to this innovative initiative of a dedicated, child-centric, two-day sports event- the KIDS OLYMPICS.
The main events included the 50m and 80m races, where young sprinters displayed their speed and stamina. Shot put challenged the young participants’ strength and coordination, while the relay race was a thrilling test of teamwork and quick reflexes. The hurdle race added excitement with challenging obstacles, and the long jump tested the endurance and athletic ability of the students. The event concluded for day 1 with the highly anticipated 200m race, which pushed the young athletes to their limits.
