Esther Nelima was born in 2009 and is the fifth child in her family. She studied up to class five. Growing up was very difficult—when there was no food at home, she and her siblings would go to the beach to beg.
Later, Esther was introduced to selling her body alongside other girls. They were forced to line up while men chose among them. The men paid the owner, and the girls received only a small amount of money. They were locked inside a house where men came every day. Over time, Esther developed serious infections from this work.
During that period, she also became pregnant, facing both illness and pregnancy at the same time. Eventually, the woman who controlled them disappeared, leaving Esther to return home. Life at home remained extremely hard, and despite being pregnant, she was forced to continue working.
Because of her young age, Esther gave birth through a cesarean section. She now has a baby girl. Despite all the challenges she has faced, Esther dreams of returning to school. She would be deeply grateful for anyone willing to support her in continuing her education.
