The Celtman Extreme Triathlon saw competitors complete a 3.4km sea swim in cold Atlantic waters, a 202km cycle facing challenging winds, and a 36km run of rugged terrain.
The race starts with a 34km swim across Loch Shieldaig, exciting the water to transition 1 in the village of Shieldaig.
A 202km cycle followed across beautiful highland roads, with extreme head winds in the last 40km, making the route even more challenging.
The run involved crossing the Coulin Pass to transition 2A at the foot of Beinn Eighe. Due to the extreme weather conditions all competitors were required to take the Low Level Celtman Run Route for their own safety, with the race finishing in the village of Torridon.
