The air "Port na Bpúcai", played first by Brendan Begley on accordion, and then by Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh on Hardanger fiddle. Performed at the Plough and Stars, San Francisco, 10/7/2011.
An extremely powerful and moving performance of this piece -- the video hopefully does some justice to the experience of hearing this performed live :)
Some people think that this air actually might have come from someone who heard the songs of humpback whales. Just before this video starts, Begley told the audience a wonderful story about himself playing this piece outdoors while on the coast, and having whales appear while he was playing!!
