Agenda:
Gathering input on priorities for the new year.
Chat comments to include with video:
Matthew Chaffee: Accessibility via repair of sidewalks and street ramps, and remediating streets for safe bicycle travel
Ramie: For me, I would love to see Albertson's buy the Rite Aid location, demolish it, and build a new Pavilions like they have on Washington Street. The current Vons is small, always packed, and limited in options. The one on Washington is 1000 times better than ours. Then once the new one is built, sell the current Vons location, have that demolished, and put in different shops on the ground floor, library on the second floor, and affordable units - like actually affordable - on the top floor.
Madison Stevens: +1 to parks and rec/ green spaces
+1 affordable housing
Improving parking availability, prioritizing resident parking over commercial parking. Not charging for street parking.
Normal Heights identity and branding- community engagement, making our neighborhood known and attractive. Enhance and preserve our culture and aesthetic.
Supporting job opportunities and job security for residents- perhaps supported through library expansion.
Addressing homeless
